Wyoming Expands FRNT Stablecoin to Hedera Blockchain Infrastructure
Wyoming has taken a significant step in digital finance by integrating its state-issued Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) with the Hedera blockchain network. The decision, finalized by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission during its Q2 technical review, positions FRNT as the only state-backed stablecoin in the U.S. leveraging Hedera's infrastructure.
Hedera was selected after rigorous evaluation for its compliance, speed, and sustainability. The network processes 10,000 transactions per second with fixed low costs and a carbon-negative footprint. This integration enables FRNT to support retail payments, payroll, tax refunds, and emergency aid with unprecedented efficiency.
The MOVE underscores Wyoming's commitment to regulatory alignment and scalable blockchain solutions. By adopting Hedera, the state sets a new benchmark for public-sector digital assets, combining institutional-grade compliance with enterprise-level performance.
